Definition:

Reducing the volume of muscles or decreasing the appearance of lines/wrinkles by paralyzing a particular group of muscles. 

Function:

Reduce the volume of the muscle to frame the face or to make the areas look smaller. By paralyzing a particular group of muscles, the muscles relax which would reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Number of units:

As conservative as we are, we would only administer ½ dosage and have the patients come back after 1 or 2 weeks to analyze the group of muscles again. If needed, the remaining dose will be given. 

Pain Level 0-3 for quick seconds

Pain Reliever: cryo and/or laughing gas

Duration: 30 min including post care

Please arrive 15min early to fill out all the paper work. If you are running behind, please notify the clinic at least 2hrs before to make sure you can keep your treatment time. Without a notification, your treatment will be automatically reschedule after 15 min of no show and you will be charged $200 for no show. 

Downtime: none. You would expect the dull or heavy feeling from the treated area. For lip flip, you may feel that you can’t move the mouth muscle yet the feeling is temporarily and would go away eventually when you are used to it.

Do and Dont

Do not put any pressure on the treated area

Do not lay down for 4 hrs after treatment

Do not sweat excessively for 24hrs as botox would go through sweat. An active individual would expect the botox to last less.

No Sauna for 24hrs
